There really is something for everyone.

The playground of East Yorkshire:

As the playground of East Yorkshire, Bridlington and Bridlington Bay have absolutely everything you could want for a fun-filled, active, relaxing or quiet holiday break.

Only a few miles from Bridlington are the grand, historic stately homes and gardens of Sewerby House and Burton Agnes. The Grade-1 listed Bayle Gate Museum , the miniature masterpiece Bondville Model Village, the historic charm of Bridlington Old Town, well known for its shops and cafes and as a film location for period dramas and feature films such as Dad's Army, where Bridlington became Wilmington-on-Sea.

Bridlington

Amusements, beaches, an action-packed harbour with sailing trips, speed boats, historic cobles, sea fishing, lobster and crab trawlers, golf and sports of every kind, museums and galleries, country walks and country houses, and arts and evening entertainment with restaurants, bars and clubs, not to mention the famous Bridlington Spa.

Among Bridlington's star attractions are its North Beach and South Beach, but the beaches in the the bay and along the coast are beautiful and noteworthy. The rocky secluded coves of North and South Landing up by the outstanding white cliffs of Flamborough Head, the popular beaches north to Filey and Scarborough, or south from Bridlington past Fraisthorpe down to Skipsea, Hornsea, Withernsea and Spurn Point.

If it's walking, nature trails, wildlife or country pubs you like, then the Yorkshire Wolds quite literally start (and finish) at Bridlington, as you go up the old Roman Road of Woldgate. The Yorkshire Wolds, made famous internationally by artist David Hockney who has close connections to Bridlington, are designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
